Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologist

  • Location: Brampton, Ontario, Canada
  • Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, On-site
  • Salary Range: $85,000 to $95,000
Role Overview:Speech-language pathologists diagnose, assess, and treat human communication disorders, including speech, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. They are committed to improving patient health and well-being in a multidisciplinary environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and evaluate speech, voice, resonance, language, fluency, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders through tests, examinations, and observations.
  • Develop and implement remedial programs to correct various disorders.
  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams to establish personalized care plans.
  • Educate and counsel patients and their families on communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Conduct research on communication disorders and diagnostic procedures.
  • Supervise and instruct communicative disorders assistants, students, and other healthcare personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Certified by the College of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of Ontario (CASLPO) and in good standing.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing medical education.
  • Proficient in managing diverse health issues across all age groups.
