Together, we are EXP.Are you ready to design your futureBe our next Intermediate Water Resources Engineer!Your work environment at EXPEXP #39;s Water Resources group is seeking talented engineers who have a focus on water resources and infrastructure with experience in design and construction of water related projects. This role will support a variety of projects throughout GTA that involve water resources, project design, and construction services.EXP provides flexibility for employees to work in any of our offices in GTA with the option to work remotely on the other days.What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services and will include activities focused on design of municipal stormwater and water resource projects.
  • Responsibilities may include overseeing the planning and design of various project elements, the preparation of project reports, hydraulic models, calculations, drawings, construction plans and specifications, permitting packages, and documents for inclusion in the final project deliverables.
  • Overseeing construction phase engineering services.
  • Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.
What your experience looks like
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in engineering plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer, or the ability to meet the minimum criteria to obtain Professional Engineer registration in Ontario within 1 year of employment date.
  • Experience with and working knowledge of surface water analysis, hydrologic methodologies/models (TR-55, HEC-HMS, etc.), hydraulic models (HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, etc.), and with ESRI ArcGIS software.
  • Ability to make technical computations and calculations involving the application of engineering principles, understanding plans and specifications, and making factual comparisons to the appropriate regulations.
  • Project management experience with small to mid-level projects including tracking hours and expenses for project work.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to audiences with diverse technical knowledge.
  • A valid driver #39;s license with own vehicle and travel throughout GTA and Southern Ontario is required.
  • Eight (8) years of progressive experience in municipal water resources and storm water infrastructure engineering design, assessment, and rehabilitation projects.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audience.
