Job Description

Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Supervisor assists the Plant Engineer in leading and directing salaried and hourly personnel engaged in all phases of the plant engineering function, including installation, and repair and maintenance of all plant systems, equipment, grounds and facilities.This individual is expected to place an emphasis on providing a committed and high level of technical service in a safe manner, while partnering with other leaders to produce glass containers at continuously improving levels of quality and efficiency. The Maintenance Supervisor should have:

  • Strong maintenance operations background
  • Experience with maintenance management software
  • Experience in a maintenance leadership role
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
The Maintenance Supervisor will:
  • Assist in directing preventive maintenance programs
  • Coordinate and supervise all construction and service work performed by outside contractors
  • Conduct periodic inspections of all plant systems, equipment, facilities and grounds.Oversees all changes or upgrades
  • Review shift operations, make decisions, and implement actions relative to changes on shifts that may impact processing, procedures, personnel, equipment, and customer requirements
  • Track downtime and provide solutions to decrease downtime
