Career Opportunity in Emergency Medicine:Nocturnist Physician For Urgent Care CenterThe Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking Emergency Medicine trained physicians interested in working as a nocturnist for it’s Urgent Care Center (UCC)Highly efficient and well supported by a multidisciplinary team including collaborative, experienced emergency nursing teams, orthopaedic technicians, medical lab assistants, physician navigators, Geriatric Emergency Medicine Nurses and Respiratory Therapist. The Peel Memorial Urgent Care Center is a 24/7 high volume department; the UCC has become an essential and very coveted service for the community. The overnight shift is from 10pm to 5am. CT-Scan and X-Ray are available 24/7 and Ultrasound form 5am to 1am.ED Physicians benefit from regularly scheduled simulation-based education and POCUS training. The physician scheduling preferences are physician-centric and supported through an excellent scheduling system (MetricAid+) offering convenient and easy access to preference-based scheduling with expert support. The successful candidate will be supported by a department mentor. Physicians can expect a very competitive income opportunity with fee-for-service billing based on the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees. As an affiliated academic community teaching site for the McMaster University Michael G.
