Career Opportunity in Emergency Medicine:Nocturnist Physician For Urgent Care CenterThe Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking Emergency Medicine trained physicians interested in working as a nocturnist for it’s Urgent Care Center (UCC)Highly efficient and well supported by a multidisciplinary team including collaborative, experienced emergency nursing teams, orthopaedic technicians, medical lab assistants, physician navigators, Geriatric Emergency Medicine Nurses and Respiratory Therapist. The Peel Memorial Urgent Care Center is a 24/7 high volume department; the UCC has become an essential and very coveted service for the community. The overnight shift is from 10pm to 5am. CT-Scan and X-Ray are available 24/7 and Ultrasound form 5am to 1am.ED Physicians benefit from regularly scheduled simulation-based education and POCUS training. The physician scheduling preferences are physician-centric and supported through an excellent scheduling system (MetricAid+) offering convenient and easy access to preference-based scheduling with expert support. The successful candidate will be supported by a department mentor. Physicians can expect a very competitive income opportunity with fee-for-service billing based on the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees. As an affiliated academic community teaching site for the McMaster University Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine: Family Medicine program and a key clinical partner for the new School of Medicine with Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), there is ample opportunity to participate in clinical education with medical students and residents.The successful applicant will have an opportunity to join one of the fastest growing community hospitals offering innovative research opportunities, access to cutting edge technology, and a supportive physician wellness programs.
