Join our team today!Accountabilities:Provide the talent acquisition specialists (TAS) and hiring managers with administrative support throughout the recruitment and onboarding processAssist TAS with preliminary screening of applicants against posted KSAs; phone screens and completes other pre-screening activitiesWork with the TAS and hiring manager to ensure the appropriate interview guides, grids and other selection tools are usedSchedule, administer and score all pre-employment tests and other selection assessmentsAssist hiring managers with candidate interview scheduling, coordinating availability of panel members and meeting roomsCoordinate the reference, credentials and background checking process with external vendor; ensuring that all checks have been completed successfully; reviews results and flags any issuesIn the absence of the TAS, assume duties of posting vacancies and the selection of candidates; communicating and updating hiring managers with the status of their vacancies and other TAS duties as requiredExtend internal job offers and prepares offer lettersParticipate as a valued member of the Talent Acquisition teamInvestigate issues and communicates with all parties the action or responseAssist with planning and execution ofthe new employee onboarding corporate program as well as internal and external career fairs and attends these as required to manage the registration process; manage calendar and scheduling of rooms; prepare all necessary materialsUpdate Applicant Tracking System data and extract ad-hoc reports and documentation as requiredAct as a talent brand ambassador and provide candidates and hiring managers with an exceptional experience by projecting a positive attitudeActively participate in special projects and talent acquisition initiativesCollege Diploma/University DegreeMinimum of one to two years of experience as a recruitment coordinator/assistant and/or human resources generalistExposure working in a unionized environment and experience from being in the hospital/healthcare sector would be an assetPractical knowledge of human resources processes and best practices is requiredDetail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentMust possess a strong client focus with demonstrated success in developing working relationships, and using superior communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skillsMust be action oriented with an ability to make quick quality decisions and deliver superior resultsMust demonstrate Osler #39;s Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and CollaborationEffective team player that demonstrates a willingness to assist others and support team activitiesKnowledge of employment legislation, exposure to labor relations language (including collective agreements), and familiarity with recruitment and employment standards an assetDemonstrated strong computer and keyboarding skills with intermediate/advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and experience using human resources management and Applicant Tracking SystemsThis position may be required to travel and work between all Osler sites in order to assist the TAS/hiring manager in intake meetings as well as attending job fairs off-siteHours: Currently Monday to Friday, eight hour shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)Internal application deadline: Sep 8, 2023#LI-LM1Osler values inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
