Job Description

Under the responsibility of the Production and Warehouse Manager, supports and assists the shipping and receiving department.Main tasks and responsibilities of the position:

  • Plans daily incoming and outgoing trucks utilizing all hours available (seeing all information, scheduling dock appointments to evaluate time loadamp; unload, time of arrival/departure);
  • Acts as a liaison with Customer Service and receives and files all PO from Purchasing Department;
  • Inspects and verifies that the incoming merchandise corresponds to the invoices and/or other documents;
  • Matches BOL with PO for all received finished products, raw materials and packaging;
  • Maintains internal record-keeping system;
  • Records non-conformity of merchandises between the initial order and the delivery (Discrepancy);
  • Records shortages and rejects damages goods;
  • Monitors all product returns and handling from start to finish by designated receiver;
  • Keeps shipping office and surrounding area organized, neat and clean;
  • On a day to day basis, ensures that he meets hygiene, safety and sanitary conditions; complies to health and safety government rules and regulations
  • Reports hazard to the Production and Warehouse Manager;
  • Checks and verifies scale weight tickets for incoming and outgoing vehicles;
  • Confirms proper paperwork attached to orders and weight checks is accurate;
  • Keeps attendance records;
  • Does any other related tasks.
Requirements for this position:
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • 1 to 2 years of experience
  • Language spoken and written: English
  • Analytical and adaptation capacity
  • Time and priorities management, autonomy
  • Courtesy and discernment and rigorous
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Suite Office.
  • Knowledge of D365, an asset
  • Knowledge of MAPEI products, an asset
  • Supervisory skills
  • Mathematical aptitudes
  • Knowlegde of transportation and shipping as well as storage and distribution logistics
