DescriptionCoordinator, Cooperative EducationBrandon, ManitobaFull-Time RegularCompetition# 34- 22/23Salary Range: $67,104 - $83,842 per annum(Program Coordinator Extension Services 2)Assiniboine Community College strives to create Exceptional Learning Experiences for our students. In support of student success, the Coordinator, Cooperative Education works with the academic leadership team, to provide coordination of the college’s Cooperative Education and Work Integrated Learning Strategy.Be Passionate. You are passionate about student success, employer engagement, and are energized to increase work integrated learning opportunities for students in a number of employment sectors, including business, agriculture, environment, agricultural technologies, and trades. You will organize meaningful co-operative education experiences for students enrolled in diploma programs across the college. You will provide leadership and coordination of the college’s cooperative education, graduate internship, and work integrated learning strategy, and directly manage the cooperative education programming across the college. You will provide guidance and leadership to our overall college community and help in building stronger relationships with business and industry partners, employer communities, and internal support services. You will lead development and delivery of services/programming for students, services to the college community, expansion of business and industry partnerships, and further developing our established success in work integrated learning.Take Initiative. Your experience working directly and collaboratively with business, industry, and employer communities will enable you to lead growth and development of our college-wide commitment to greater engagement for learning opportunities for our students. You are a person who has the ability to take charge, but are able to be a part of the greater academic leadership team. Collaborative, personable, creative, and energetic, you will cultivate positive learning opportunities and foster relationships in support of our philosophy of education: ‘Learn by Doing’.Deliver Results. In order to deliver the results required, you must have a degree or diploma in a relevant field or a combination of education and a minimum of 5 years of experience working with students or clients in a career-oriented education, training, or employment setting. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of career development and adult learning, and have experience with partner-driven collaboration, partnership development, and stakeholder relationship management. Experience managing events such as trade shows or employment fairs is an asset. You will have experience in group facilitation and presentations, as well as individual coaching.
