With 14 locations across Canada and Western USA, we will continue expanding and strengthening our steel industry network.Position Scope: Machine Operator - Slitting Line

  • Using state-of-the-art equipment, this individual will help with all aspects of (metal) coil processing. This will include loading coils, tooling setup, line operation and the handling and packaging of processed slit coils.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
  • experience in industrial operating machines and or computer-controlled machinery would be an asset
  • mechanical inclination
  • superior math skills
  • a fine eye for details pertaining to products and machinery status
  • experience and be comfortable using different types of hand tools and equipment
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment at times
  • safe work habits and must operate within Cascadias safe work procedures and safety policies
  • the ability to lift 45 kgs (100 lbs) safely
  • a "How can I help" attitude, a sense of urgency, and willing to work some overtime if required
  • a proven work history
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
