Job Description

Position Overview: *We are looking for an Enterprise Solutions Specialist to join our team in Brandon, MB or remote location.The Enterprise Solutions Specialist (ESS) specializes in solution design. As an integral member of the Xplornet Enterprise team, the incumbent will provide full-cycle engineering services for the design and implementation of telecommunications solutions to our Enterprise customers. As an Enterprise Service and Support Specialist, you will focus on the entire design of a communications solution.Key responsibilities include:

  • Customer technical management/enterprise design and support – Quickly assess impact and resolve any escalations while adhering to defined procedures and standards. Monitor ticket queues and provide frequent updates.
  • Complete customer solution designs and BOMs to verify technical solution and capacity for new, modified and/or change requests for Customers.
  • Verifying site capacity levels with IT department and tower availability with VRE team.
  • Updating and documenting customer support and engineering/service delivery standard to improve efficiency and the overall Customer Experience.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A relevant Diploma/Degree or a combination of practical work experience and education.
  • Previous experience with point to point and point to multipoint wireless networks and/or VSAT networks with an ISP would be an asset
  • CCNA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • The ability to effectively provide solutions in a technical environment – putting customers first!
  • The ability to multitask
  • The ability to interact and effectively communicate at various levels within the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Functions well in a team technical environment
  • A broad knowledge of IT and business processes required in support of enterprise application delivery environments.
  • Background in the following technologies will be an asset: SNMP, HTTP, VLANs, Internet security software, fiber optics, VoIP, databases, email and web servers.
