Job Description

A day in the life as an IT Summer Student:

  • Assist with incoming service requests and incidents to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end user issues
  • Draft professional and concise documentation for internal and external processes
  • Prioritize, schedule, and escalate problems when required to the appropriately experienced technician
  • Analyze software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQ resources to aid in problem resolution
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including analyzing and maintaining workstations, printers, and peripherals
  • Assist with hardware upgrades and inventory across multiple Westoba locations
What you bring to the table:
  • Enrollment in post-secondary education in the field of computer sciences, or information systems. Certifications in Microsoft, Networking and/or ITIL Foundation are an asset
  • Experience with networking, Microsoft Servers, and cloud offerings such as Microsoft 365 and Azure is an asset
