The Brandon Sun is an award-winning newspaper and one of Canada’s leading community dailies. As a member of FP Newspapers, the Brandon Sun is a sister paper to the Winnipeg Free Press and the Steinbach Carillon.The Sun newsroom is now accepting applications for two permanent, full-time reporter-photographer positions. We are looking for talented writers who are able to investigate breaking news and produce compelling stories and features for both our online and print products.We ask all reporters to be active on social media, have proficiency in still photography, and be comfortable with various forms of multimedia reporting. These positions will require occasional evening and weekend work.QualificationsPrior experience in a daily newsroom is an asset, but we will consider relevant work experience. The ideal candidates may also have some expertise with on-air broadcasting and/or podcasting.
