Fee-For-Service Position Brandon ManitobaThe Department of Surgery at Prairie Mountain Health is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon with training and expertise in hip and knee arthroplasty.The successful candidate will be a General Orthopedic Surgeon with clinical expertise in hip and knee arthroplasty. Additional experience, such as hand and wrist, sports or peds is desirable. Fellowships are preferred, however, with required documentation, other training and experience will be considered.The candidate must be able to work in a multi-disciplinary clinical environment with excellent interpersonal skills. They will be a full-time member of the department of Orthopedic Surgery and will participate in the Trauma on-call rotation at the Brandon Regional Health Centre which is typically 1/5.Brandon Regional Health Centre is a satellite campus for the University of Manitoba and the Max Rady Faculty college of medicine and offers the opportunity for you to contribute to the teaching/mentoring of medical learners if desired. Brandon has many opportunities to join existing medical clinics within the city of Brandon.As the second largest city in Manitoba, Brandon is the main Hub and referral site for South Western Manitoba. Brandon Regional Health Centre is a fully accredited facility with 300+ bed capacity with 56 surgical beds, 6 operating theatres and 1 minor surgery procedure room. In addition to the Surgical Suites, there is an Endoscopy Unit with 3 endoscopy rooms. Our on-site diagnostic services include Lab and radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine.With a population of just over 51,000, and a catchment population of over 180,000, Brandon is a thriving rural community with lifestyle opportunities for all ages.
