We can provide the course materials and save the cost of books. Course costs are approximately $270.00. Course and license cost are covered after successful completion of the exam. As a family business, the quality and care put into everything we do is at the heart of our company, and we look to work with like-minded individuals that represent everything it means to be a Livingstone Team Member.We need you!Job Title: Pesticide Spray ApplicatorPosition Type: Full Time; Seasonal - Year round work available (Snow Removal Equipment Operating)Reports To: Spray ManagerPurpose: To deliver exceptional application services to customers while maintaining equipment to standards and representing the company in the community.Duties and Responsibilities: Applicator: - Understand and follow directive on all fertilizer work orders- Interact regularly with clientele in order to ensure job satisfaction- Monitor job supplies inventory and request additional materials/parts when stock is low. This includes lawn signs, fertilizers, peat moss, bone meal, etc.- Follow all company safety guidelines, policies, and procedures- Inspect quality of work perimeters and service areas within those parameters- Keep Pesticide Application ticket validAdditional Duties: · Apply round up to properties· Apply granular fertilizer in the spring season· Assist with property inspections· Assist with topdressing, small sod jobs, and water hauling as neededQualification Requirements: · Able to physically perform basic life operational functions including but not limited to: climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and repetitive motion.· Ability to lift/handle heavy loads; up to 80lbs.· Ability to follow company Safety Procedures and recognize Job Hazards· Must be available for seasonal long hours (Saturdays may be included); Punctual and dependable· Ability to work outdoors in all elements· Exceptional communication skills and strong problem-solving skills· Excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic and ability to work independently· Ability to communicate with customers and create lasting relationships· Motivated individual who is detail orientated with ability to prioritize and multi-taskEducation/Experience: · Valid Pesticide Applicator License required - or willing to obtain· Valid minimum MB Class 5F DL required; Class 3 w/Air a considerable asset· Minimum 2 years experience working in a similar role handling applications· Experience in a landscaping environment; a considerable assetPersonal Attributes: · Positive attitude, self-starter and takes initiative· Punctual and dependable· Great at multi- tasking· Ability to prioritize tasks· Strong communication skills· Team player· Great with a measuring tape and toolsWorking Conditions: The working environment of Landscape Labor Technician includes:- Direct sunlight- Indirect sunlight- High humidity- Hot and cold temperatures- Wind- Rain- SnowBenefits: - Staff discounts- Employee appreciation events- Growth and development opportunitiesLivingstone Landscaping is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
