Salaried Position – BrandonEmployment Status: 1.0 EFT Permanent Positions (2 available)Prairie Mountain Health is offering an opportunity for (two) a Psychiatrist(s) to join our excellent medical services team in Brandon Manitoba.With a population of just under 50,000, Brandon is a thriving rural community with lifestyle opportunities for all ages. As the second largest city in the province, Brandon is the main Hub and referral site for South Western Manitoba. Brandon University offers higher education opportunities within the city as well as Assiniboine Community College, Manitoba institute of Culinary Arts and Robertson College.The successful candidate will be responsible for continuing, comprehensive Psychiatric care to inpatients to the Brandon Centre for Adult Psychiatry (CAP) and for providing support to the Community Mental Health services within the Region. CAP is an accredited acute general adult psychiatric facility with 25 beds and services the large geographic area (67,000 sq kms) in Prairie Mountain Health.You will be a valued member of an interdisciplinary team within the Prairie Mountain Health Region working with community mental health providers and Family Physicians. The Psychiatrist will provide admission, examination, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge management of patients requiring psychiatric care at CAP.In addition to providing 1885 hours/annually (7.25 hrs/daily), the successful candidate will share equally in the Psychiatry on-call roster with other members of his team.
