Job Description

Location: Flexible within the Northwest area of the Province of ManitobaManitoba Agricultural Services Corporation (MASC) has an exciting opportunity for you to be a part of a team that values building relationships, enables change, and supports the agriculture industry in Manitoba. Come join our team as we offer an engaging work environment, competitive pay, a comprehensive benefits package (including pension plan), and we encourage a healthy work-life balance.Reporting to the Client Service Manager, the Regional Loan Specialist is responsible for providing a high level of personalized customer service to Manitoba producers within the northwest region of the province, covering the Dauphin, Swan River, Neepawa and Brandon service centres. The successful candidate will be a loan expert for the four service centre teams and will be responsible for administering MASC lending programs and services. This includes meetings with applicants to discuss proposals; analyzing and reviewing financial statements and the viability of farm operations; conducting farm visits and valuing land, buildings, livestock, equipment and other personal property for security purposes; investigating credit worthiness; and administering client accounts, including collections.MASC VALUES innovation, excellence, collaboration, and accountability. Competencies relate to every position at MASC and along with the technical requirements, are included in the qualifications for all positions at MASC.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: · Diploma or Degree in agriculture, commerce, or business and related experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.· Experience in agriculture or agricultural finance.· Experience interpreting and applying contracts, regulations and policies.· Experience in customer service.· Ability to maintain accuracy and pay attention to detail which includes numerical accuracy.· Ability to use Microsoft products (SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word, Outlook,) in a cloud-based environment.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Knowledge of property appraisals.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: · Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.· Must possess a valid driver’s licence, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel within the Province of Manitoba.SALARY: $57,344 - $78,905 per annumCLOSING DATE: January 18, 2022COMPETITION: #2021-22-31APPLY IN WRITING TO: MASC – Human ResourcesUnit 100 – 1525 First Street S.Brandon, MB R7A 7A1We believe diversity strengthens our ability to provide excellent customer service in a positive ‎work ‎environment. ‎We encourage all to apply.
