Job Description

Application deadline: September 21, 2022Classification: Research Assistant IIEmployee group: PSACJob title: Research AssistantDepartment: Faculty of Health StudiesWage: $13.40/hour (SA III or RA II)Hours of work: 2-30 hours per weekStart date: October 11, 2022Number of positions available: 1Length of appointment: 1 year, with possibility of renewalDate issued: September 9, 2022Duties:

  • Meeting with researchers and/or the Research Facilitator on a regular basis;
  • Conducting literature searches;
  • Entering references into reference databases;
  • Development of tools such as surveys or interview guides;
  • Assisting with collection of data;
  • Assisting with information collection from interviews and/or focus groups;
  • Participating in data entry and analysis;
  • Assisting in developing poster or paper presentations; and
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Experience:
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA, with a minimum of 24 credit hours of coursework completed.
  • Possess computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Be able to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Possess excellent writing skills.
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality.
