Applications are to be received by: 4:30 p.m. on May 9, 2022Classification: Research Assistant IIEmployee Group: PSACJob Title: Research AssistantDepartment: Physics and AstronomyWage or Salary: $13.30/hrHours of Work: 6-8 hours per weekStart Date: May 16, 2022Number of Positions available: 1Length of Appointment: 15 weeksDate Issued: April 27, 2022Duties:Candidate will assist in research in astronomy including programming in C++, IDL and Fortran. Duties will include applying spectraldisentangling software to binary stars, optimizing a software pipeline for stellar spectra using IDL, processing archived stellar spectrausing available software, and other related duties as assigned.Qualifications/Experience:The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and experienced in C++, Python and IDL programming.
