Job Description

Applications are to be received by: 4:30 pm on December 9, 2022Classification: Research Assistant IVEmployee Group: PSACJob Title: Resilience in Nursing Students Research AssistantDepartment: Nursing/Health StudiesWage: $24.88Hours of Work: approximately 4 hours/weekStart Date: January 2, 2023Number of Positions Available: 1Length of Appointment: Jan 2, 2023 to Dec 29, 2023Date Issued: November 21, 2022Duties:

  • Implement a Quasi-Experimental or RCT experiment adhering to CONSORT standards;
  • Recruit research participants, undertake informed consent, and maintain informed Consent records
  • Collect and manage research data through Survey Monkey
  • Assist in securing funding opportunities and generating research reports to an external funding body
  • Contribute to overall research activities and internal operations related to the research project
  • Collaborate with external research partners
  • Maintain ongoing communication with research participants and their progress within the research project over 12+ weeks
  • Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Completion of Master’s Degree in Health Sciences (Master’s degree in Nursing or Master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing preferred)
  • Experience with recruiting research participants
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in Quantitative research an asset
  • Knowledge in Survey Monkey and SPSS an asset
  • Ability to work independently
