Each of our employees is committed to uphold our tradition of care, quality, and passion through food, and together, we foster an environment where we can all make contributions that matter–from our manufacturing plants to our office locations and everywhere in-between.Overview of the RoleReporting to the Production Supervisor, the Whey Process Operator is responsible for the storage and disposition of all whey and whey derivatives, including operation, sanitation and maintenance of the Whey Process equipment, storage equipment, tools, and environment. Responsibility includes accountability for materials receiving, deployment, ,logistics, inventories reconciliation, sanitation, maintenance of equipment for: Raw Milk, Cream, liquid and dry ingredients, production materials including whey/ whey derivatives, chemicals, chemical containers, as well as care and control of all C.I.P. (Cleaning In Place) systems, waste / recycling equipment in the Raw area of the Plant, meeting compliance related to sanitation, housekeeping, maintenance of the facilities, amongst others.How you will make contributions that matter:

• Efficient Operation of all liquid whey processing equipment, including Filtration, Fines Saver, Clarifier, Separator HTU, all Storage Tanks in Raw Process and Dry Storage area, sanitation, housekeeping and maintenance of equipment, tools and environment.
• Coordinate logistics for Raw materials, Raw Milk, Milk and Whey derivative receiving/shipping, including reconciliation of inventories, sanitation, housekeeping and maintenance of equipment, tools and environment.
• Receiving and handling of chemicals, stocking, housekeeping and maintenance of C.I.P. Systems, Chemical Inventories and Storage Facilities including bulk chemical storage, and exterior of area.
• Vigilant in practicing and guarding activities within the Raw Process Area to prevent biological, chemical or physical contamination of product.
• Coordinate Waste and Recycling Activities including housekeeping and sanitation of equipment
• Inter-departmental partnership and communications to promote efficient and effective execution of process
• Complete all required product tests and documentation
• Comply with GMP and HACCP and BRC standards
• Embrace and foster Environmental and Sustainability initiative
• Embrace and foster attention to JSA (Job Safety Analysis), Risks, their mitigating procedures, Personal Protective Equipment and all other Personal Safety initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to be trained on, multiple pieces of processing equipment.
• Successful completion of designated proficiency tests with the achievement of a passing score
• Previous related experience an asset (CIP, pasteurizing, separators)
• TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) Training Required
• License to Operate Forklift / Pallet Moving Equipment
• Mechanical and technical aptitude
• Proven communication and inter-personal skills
• Ability to maintain accurate written records and documentation
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent attendance and Safety Record
• Proficiency and dependability in current position
• Must pass the Employee Aptitude and Basic Skills test
