Job Description

Daltco Electric is Eastern Ontario’s largest independent electrical automation and lighting distributor. Daltco Electric serves the industrial, residential, and commercial marketplace from its three locations in Kingston, Brockville and Ottawa.We are searching for an energetic, focused and dedicated team player to join us as a Warehouse Associate in our Brockville Location.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Branch Manger, the successful candidate would join the Warehouse team and is responsible for the following:

  • Prepares and packs orders for shipping with attention to customer priorities and appropriate time- lines, and double checks all picked orders for accuracy of material
  • Work with freight providers for all inbound and outbound logistic requirements
  • Assists with receiving tasks, verifies stock and places material in appropriate locations
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
  • Foster an environment where teamwork and inclusivity is prioritized
  • Assists Customers by answering queries relating to their order status, changes and delivery timeframes
  • Assist in the physical inventory count
  • All other duties required or assigned by supervisor
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Grade 12 diploma
  • Electrical background or post-secondary education in a related Electrical Engineering Technician/Technologist program considered an asset
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations including shipping/receiving is an asset
  • Fork truck experience would be considered an asset
  • Excellent written & oral communication
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player
  • Physical labour required, lifting and loading (Ability to lift 50+ lbs)
