Assistant Supervisor - HUM011727Employment Type: Permanent Full-timeLocation(s): SK-Far North West-Buffalo NarrowsMinistry: 036 Social ServicesSalary Range: $31.860 - $39.929 HourlySalary Supplement: included in hourly salary range (in-scope)Grade: SGEU.09.The Ministry of Social Services, Child & Family Services division in the North Service Area, requires a Permanent Child Protection Assistant Supervisor in the Buffalo Narrows office.Under the Authority of The Child and Family Services Act and The Adoption Act, you will supervise, manage, and implement programs designed to provide protective, preventative, and support services to children, parents and foster families utilizing the Family Centered Case Management Model and P.R.I.D.E. Model of Practice.The Assistant Supervisor has responsibility for coaching, supervising and training staff and assumes a leadership role in providing guidance and support in the delivery of services in the absence of the Supervisor. The candidate must be knowledgeable about Ministry policies and procedures as outlined in the Child and Family Services Act and Family and Children’s Services manuals to deliver mandated services and provide information to staff, community agencies and the general public.You will be an active member of the supervisory team demonstrating leadership, mentoring and role modelling that is exemplified by respect and empowerment in order to encourage employees to achieve success. You will assist with service delivery within work units and with partner agencies in the community.To qualify for this position, you will possess a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work degree from an accredited university, as approved by the SASW/CASW or CASWE. You must also be knowledgeable about ministry policies and procedures as outlined in the Child and Family Services Act and Family and Child Services manuals to deliver mandated services and provide information to staff, community agencies and the general public. You should also have experience with supervising new staff, practicum students, and or summer students.The successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours and travel.Candidates must clearly indicate in their covering letter or resume where they have acquired their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
