Job Description

Working together to provide essential services to communities across Western Canada, we are hiring a Propane Driver, Bulk on a permanent basis at our Propane Branch in Buffalo Narrow, SK.Who we are:As a co-operative, we do business differently. To learn more about who we are, visit www.fcl.crs.What you’ll do:Be responsible to carry out propane deliveries in agricultural, commercial and domestic markets in a safe timely and efficient manner while providing exceptional customer service to all retail personnel, customers, and co-workers. Overtime and weekend shift work will be required to service customers’ needs including participating in an On Call program.

  • Promote the sale and the use Co-op Propane
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all retail personnel, customers, and co-workers in a helpful and respectful manner, and refer any concerns to the supervisor for action.
  • Carry out propane deliveries in agricultural, commercial and domestic markets in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct and maintain the highest standard of safety in all activities and operations ensuring compliance with standard work procedures, policies, rules and relevant regulations. This includes conducting and if applicable, documenting site inspections and visual tank inspections.
  • Become familiar with the operation of the computer system used to manage customer accounts and carry out administrative responsibilities as required.
  • Complete required Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) for delivery or crane unit prior to leaving branch facility, identifying and logging defects found and reporting any major defects to supervisor.
  • Ensure all necessary preventative maintenance is carried out on company vehicles and equipment and perform minor repairs as required.
  • Observe and assess potential hazards involving customer tank installations and report concerns to the supervisor.

  • You are looking for a career in Production, Trades and Maintenance and:
  • You have a Class 3A license, clean drivers abstract, and your Grade 12 Diploma.
  • You have a minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience. Prior experience delivering propane or fuel is considered an asset.
  • You’re willing to work shifts, weekends, and participate in an on-call program.
  • You’re in good health and physically fit to perform all duties and responsibilities.
  • You have knowledge and an ability to use computers, specifically the use of onboard truck computers.
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in collaboration, building relationships and value the perspectives of others.
