Job Description

  • Configure and develop motion programs, create offline robot simulations, program & troubleshoot robot applications. Create backups and maintain necessary robotic inventory.
  • Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, enter data, to process and report on information related to robotics equipment.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address, trouble shoot and improve production.
  • Test and document performance of robotic programs to ensure maximum efficiency and perform light preventative maintenance duties as required by OEM.
  • Establish Robot Safety Standards and create training aids and instructions for maintenance and production staff such as safe handling, manual movements of robot, fault recovery etc.
  • Abide by health and safety requirements as outlined in OHSA.
Skills, Experience and Education Required:
  • Diploma or Certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution in the Robotics field
  • Minimum 2 years robotics programming experience preferred
  • Experience with robotics in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge and ability to follow Health and Safety regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Positive attitude with strong team-work skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
