Job Description

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Lead Technologist /Designer with a keen interest in leading projects and interfacing with clients to join our Municipal and Transportation Design team. In this role you will work on project coordination, planning and engineering design for new and exciting projects for municipal clients with a focus on Transportation, Roads, Linear Infrastructure and Civil Works. You will be joining an innovative, supportive, and dynamic team of multidisciplinary professionals in a collaborative work environment. We offer a flexible hybrid work model, enabling you to work from home and from one of our offices. The position can be based out of our Bowmanville, Mississauga or Burlington office.

  • Leading the design for a variety of municipal engineering and transportation projects including roadways, road reconstruction, urbanization and or/widening, linear infrastructure (watermains, sanitary sewers, storm sewers), utility coordination and relocation and construction staging and traffic control plans
  • Working directly with Engineers and other Technologists in a collaborative work environment
  • Contributing to multi-disciplinary design teams to ensure successful project delivery and efficiency, while meeting the needs of clients and design quality standards
  • Implementing design and drafting requirements with staff from other departments or offices, as required, when working on multidisciplinary projects
  • Participate in the coordination of project resources, schedule, budget, quality management and project risk assessment on behalf of CIMA+ to meet client expectations
  • Preparing contract quantities and cost estimates
  • Mentor other staff on fundamentals of detail design of Civil infrastructure work and general project coordination skills
  • Continued professional development through participation in internal and external training
