Job DetailsJob Ref:R0056300 Category:Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Employment Type:Per Diem (position has no committed hours and is not benefit eligible) Health Care Partner:The University of Vermont Medical Center Location:111 Colchester Ave, Burlington, VT Department:APP Coordinator - NICU Job Type:Regular Primary Shift:Day/Night-8hr Hours:TBD Weekend Needs:Other Pay Rate: $63.59 - $83.91 per hourThis is a per diem position, not benefit eligible:The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) is a Registered Nurse who functions in an expanded nursing role, providing primary health care and emergency services to high risk newborns. They work collaboratively with the physician staff of the Children #39;s Health Care Service in general and of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)specifically. In the NICU, NNP work is conducted using guidelines agreed upon with the Medical Director of the NICU. The NNP is responsible for complete daily management of a caseload of patients, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and day-to-day implementation and evaluation of an appropriate plan of care.EDUCATION:Registered Nurse, currently licensed in the State of VT as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. BSN and satisfactory completion of an accredited Neonatal Practitioner Program. National certification as an NNP.EXPERIENCE:At least 2 years as a NICU Nurse.
