(Covering Hamilton/Burlington and surrounding area). Includes Evenings and Weekends.Starting wage is $21.95, inclusive of the $3.00 per hour wage enhancement from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients. The wage enhancement does not apply to training, travel and paid leave.Valid drivers’ licence, proof of insurance, and reliable vehicle required.Roles and responsibilities:· Assists consumers in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and with March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures:- Personal care- Dressing/Grooming- Rising/retiring- Incontinence care upon training- Meal preparation and feeding- Range of motion exercises- Light housekeeping duties- Lifts and Transfers upon training· Performs duties in a professional manner, which respects the dignity and right to privacy and maintains consumer and staff health and safety.· The Support Services Attendants will be required to work multiple shifts (i.e. work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays) that vary between locations through the Niagara Region.Qualifications and experience:· High School graduate or equivalent· Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain· Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities, older adults, or as an informal caregiver considered an asset but not required· Good interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills· Physical Demands Self Analysis Required upon hire· Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours· Valid driver’s license and reliable Vehicle REQUIREDHow to applyIf you are interested in applying, please submit your cover letter and resume by October 31, 2023.
