Product Verification Specialist - Live Media Systems (DreamCatcher Production Suite) - Jobs in Burlington

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Functional system level testing and validation of hardware/software for the Live Media Systems Product Line (DreamCatcher Production Suite, VUE, MAGNUMamp; Studer Audio)
• Collaborate with development team to plan tests through product design cycle
• Develop test cases, scripts and reports
• Generate and follow-up with defects tracked in a project management database
• Create and update test procedures, conformance forms and help update product documentation
• Provide technical customer support including problem replication/resolution and support as needed
• Help identify, define, and design improvements for the product line
• Maintain Lab testing equipment and troubleshoot hardware/software issues
• Assist with demo preparation

Qualifications:

• Education in Broadcast, Electrical, Computers or related field is required
• Experience working in the broadcast environment, on-air operations or equivalent is desired
• Direct experience or knowledge of IT Networking, server/hardware, Linux, Unix experience desirable
• Experience in deploying, optimizing and maintaining hardware and software desirable
• Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Software (Jira, Confluence) and/or Testrail is an asset
• Understanding of video and compression is an asset
• Experience in dealing with in-house and/or external end customers is an asset
