Job Description

Senior Investment AnalystOverview:We are looking for an experienced Senior Investment Analyst to manage our Product Shelf. This role is part of the Product and Portfolio Management Department, and reports to the Chief Administrative Officer. This person will assist senior management in our CIRO-regulated firm with the ongoing monitoring and selection of investment products offered by our Advisors. The Senior Investment Analyst will also be responsible for producing quarterly market commentaries.Essential Functions:

  • Develop Policiesamp; Procedures, as well as standards associated with the supervision and maintenance of the firm’s Product Shelf.
  • Conduct detailed review and analysis of products for consideration by Mandeville’s Product Review Committee.
  • Collect and analyze company and fund data from a variety of sources (annual reports, press releases, broker reports and other company documents) in order to monitor current holdings and to identify possible new investments for Mandeville’s Separately Managed Accounts programs.
  • Co-author newsletters, briefs and fund reports, and various other marketing materials.
  • Assist Advisors through client presentations and other business development activities.
  • Meet (virtually) with Mandeville Advisors across Canada in order to explain products and train Advisors on product placement in portfolios, ensuring compliance with their “Know Your Product” obligations.
  • Respond to questions from Advisors regarding investment philosophy and other public information regarding Mandeville Separately Managed Accounts and the Product Shelf.
  • Work with Compliance to assess the risk and suitability of products, especially with regard to the CIRO Rules and the Client Focused Reforms.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree/College Diploma in Finance or other relevant field preferred.
  • CIRO registration desired.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst / Chartered Investment Manager required.
  • Relevant CIRO experience required.
  • Bilingual – not essential but valued.
Work Experience:
  • 3+ years of previous analytical or related experience required.
  • Review of Offering Documents and risk rating of securities.
  • Work within a CIRO environment and familiarity with CIRO Compliance requirements.
