Job Description

Our client in New Westminster, BC is seeking a full-time Building Operator to maintain their office building through regular repairs, preventative maintenance, and grounds keeping. If this position is of interest to you, don’t wait to apply today – hiring is underway!Responsibilities:

  • Provide service and support for residents and tenants.
  • Respond to service requests.
  • Document all communication i.e. telephone and in-person exchanges.
  • Coordination and oversight of onsite contractors as needed.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs such as plumbing, painting, and drywall.
  • Complete and document routine inspections of premises.
  • Monitor and ensure proper function of the heating/cooling system.
Requirements:
  • Experience in commercial retail building operations and maintenance is an asset.
  • A valid 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate would be highly regarded.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Must have good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and excellent customer service skills.
  • Comfortable with computer and smartphone operation.
  • Must be able to work on-call after regular business hours and respond to emergency calls.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and reliable vehicle.
  • Able to travel when required.
