As a full-solution supplier, the ZAPI GROUP can support every component OEMs need to design effective electric vehicles that meet cost goals and comply with tightening environmental standards.Position Summary: As an Engineering Program Manager specializing in Sustaining Engineering at Delta-Q, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing performance, reliability, and quality of our power electronics products manufactured by global contract manufacturers. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure product sustenance, while upholding the company #39;s commitment to excellence and innovation. Specific Duties:
  • Oversee changes for current products, and lead sustaining engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring products meet performance, quality, and reliability standards.
  • Coordinate among diverse teams, including design engineers (HW, SW, Mech), supply chain, quality assurance, and manufacturing, to develop and release changes and address product-related issues.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, internal departments, and global contract manufacturers.
  • Oversee engineering change requests (ECRs) and orders (ECOs), lead root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions, ensuring timely implementation and consistent quality standards.
  • Monitor and control project and program budgets, including NRE costs and BOM costs, spotting opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Keep comprehensive records of all projects and their statuses, provide updates to leadership, and produce detailed reports on progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Ensure products meet industry standards and certifications.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring minimal impact on product quality and manufacturing.
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Relevant education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience leading and project-managing a multi-disciplined team for hardware-based products within the power electronics sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of AIAG design, quality processes (e.g. APQP, FMEA, PPAP), and other regulatory compliance (e.g., UL, CE).
  • Experience with global contract manufacturing operations, and supply chain expertise.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Exemplary communication, leadership, and collaborative abilities. Ability to context-switch between projects.
  • Consistently exhibit and champion Delta-Q #39;s core values (Collaboration, Perseverance, Innovation, Driving Results).
  • PMP or similar project management certification is an asset.
BenefitsBase Salary Range: $114,000 - $140,000 CAD per year plus bonus.The compensation offered will be determined by experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills.Only in special circumstances, where candidates demonstrate the experience and skills needed to exceed those required for the position, would we consider paying above the range for this role.Additional Benefits:
