Job Description

Jackpot Digital Inc. is a leading electronic table games manufacturer for the cruise ship industry and regulated casino industry. The Company specializes in multiplayer gaming products, including poker and casino games, which are complimented by a robust suite of back end tools for operators to efficiently control and optimize their gaming business.We are seeking a game developer responsible for building electronic table games and casino games to join our growing software development team. The successful candidate must have a passion for game development, possess good interpersonal skills, and be a team player who has the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Author and implement game UI - work with UI/UX Designers and other developers to implement screens and animations using C#, XAML and WPF
  • Work with designers and engineers to implement game functionality and build exceptional user interfaces. You will be a bridge between art and engineering, bringing best-in-class game UI to life
  • Identify performance issues, bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address and mitigate these problems
  • Partner with designers, product managers and engineers to prototype and prove out various UI and gameplay concepts
  • End-to-end development of Windows applications and/or web applications from architecture and design through development to deployments and maintenance
  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code using best software development practices
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve the development process
Requirements
  • 1+ of years of experience in game development using C# and MVVM design pattern
  • Strong knowledge of C# and WPF
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science or equivalent
  • Strong UI/UX skill and understanding of usability
  • Experience with building and consuming RESTful web services
  • Experience working in a team utilizing continuous integration tools and processes
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with and enjoyment of poker and other casino games
  • Experience using Angular, Java, SQL and relational databases
  • Experience in game development using C# and Unity
  • Familiarity with Lean-Agile methodologies (Scrum/Agile/XP/Kanban)
  • Experience in SAS (Slot Accounting System) protocol implementation an asset
