  • Serve as the primary point of contact between prospective clients for LNP-based parenteral drug delivery services and the Business Segment.
  • Proactively organize, accompany and support global Sales on client site visits (in-person / virtual) to promote Evonik #39;s scientific expertise related to the parenteral drug delivery business and to communicate Health Care #39;s broader technical capabilities.
  • Lead the Parenteral Drug Delivery Solutions Segment #39;s technical assessment of LNP-based service projects.
  • Responsible for drafting customer proposals that define the scope, deliverables, timeline and budget necessary to accomplish the project.
  • Establish and manage proposal metrics to assess the effectiveness of the sales process by tracking and trending essential performance measures and prepare periodic reports for management review.
  • Operate as an independent subject matter expert maintaining a business partnership with other departmental managers to ensure the creation and alignment of customer project proposals.
  • Support Health Care communications and marketing team with the generation and review of marketing materials (presentations, white papers, brochures, website content, etc.) and contribute to the planning of external marketing opportunities (webinars, (virtual) open houses, scientific conferences, trade shows, etc.).
  • Contributes to the planning and development of Parenteral Drug Delivery Solutions business and technology strategies. Supports technical assessments of new opportunities and technologies as deemed appropriate.
  • Lead the Parenteral Drug Delivery Solutions segment #39;s technical assessment of LNP-based research projects.
  • Translate customer insights into actions for growing the long-term business
  • Mentor Evonik sales and technical staff - build and foster a professional network with the global Sales team, develop communication and technical skills.
  • Maintain broad scientific knowledge through review of scientific literature.
  • Other activities as deemed necessary per Business Segment management.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Advanced technical degree (PhD) in engineering or basic science and 5+ years #39; experience, or a bachelor #39;s/master #39;s degree with 10+ years #39; experience, in the pharmaceutical drug delivery industry plus a sufficiently demonstrated level of performance and capability.
  • Must be familiar with drug product development and cGMP requirements for lipid-based sterile parenteral drug delivery systems.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts about LNP #39;s and cGMP-relevant processing technologies, and to respond to client technical questions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possesses a highly self-motivated personality, strong work ethic and integrity, and customer-centric mindset.
  • Capable of creating strong relationships across a multifunctional business and effective at connecting sites, departments and people together.
