Tasksamp; Responsibilities:
  • Understands and explains shift-transfer information.
  • Responsible for executing line equipment dismantling and set-ups.
  • Responsible for ensuring the integrity of parts during equipment set-up and dismantling, as well as for keeping line parts adequately stored at all times
  • Responsible for ensuring that parameter sheets are correctly completed and followed on the line, as well as updated when required.
  • Responsible for efficiently setting up and starting the line in a way to meet set deadlines.
  • Responsible for reaching line speed goals.
  • Participates in component and bulk replenishment on the line to support proper operation of the production line and, when required, in putting products into cases.
  • Responsible for documenting and explaining downtime causes using the system in place.
  • Execute tests during production, based on operational needs, and document the results obtained.
  • Carries out cleaning of parts, equipment and premises, including walls and ceiling when required, as established in the procedures and set sequences.
  • Check and approve the cleaning of parts and equipment, based on operational needs.
  • Plan and prepare the equipment parts needed for the next order, to reduce start-up time.
  • Maintains the work area clean, orderly and safe at all times.
  • Identify, suggest and participate in implementing solutions to improve line efficiency.
  • Participate in the line purge.
  • Complete work orders or repair orders and follow up on their execution.
  • Always apply and respect GMPs and health and safety regulations.
  • Execute all tasks while optimizing quality and teamwork.
  • Pass on knowledge to a co-worker as required for operational needs.
  • Participate in maintaining efficiency measures and in measuring production variations.
  • Participate in analyzing the results and suggests solutions to improve quality and productivity performance.
  • Help present the results with the Line Coordinator on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Participate in the preventive maintenance of line equipment.
  • Analyze tasks and health and safety risks and submits possible solutions to correct or improve the situations observed.
  • Carry out any other related tasks.
  • Always applies and respects GMPs, as well as documentation and health and safety regulations
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Good mechanical knowledge
  • Self-reliant
  • Quick to diagnose downtime causes and implementing a solution to minimize line downtime.
  • Capable of working in a way to meet set standard times based on the quality standards in place.
  • Good team spirit and work so that the team meets desired results.
  • Able to participate in various analyses and suggest corrective or improvement measures.
  • Good communicator and be able to inform his colleagues of past activities on the line, have a good team spirit and stay focused on health and safety at work
  • Must always wear individual protection equipment.
  • Work in a standing position.
  • Some meal and break periods may need to be shuffled around to ensure that lines are constantly working.
  • Operate a barrel-lifter to replenish the lines.
  • Operate an electric and/or manual pallet truck.
  • Handle loads up to 20 kg.
