We are searching for people who want to join us in building “Technology for Life”.Reporting to the National Sales Specialist, Lifecycle Solutions (LCS), the Account Manager, LCS for Western Canada is responsible for executing sales activities for all consumable and service activities in the Western Regions. This position is responsible for meeting specific targets (quota) as assigned by management. Field travel may be required. The incumbent provides regional RFP support when identified by the Sales Support Representative in conjunction with the National Sales Specialist, LCS, supported by the Regional Sales Manager and the President of Medical Sales. The successful candidate must reside in Western Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba), close to an international airport.Main Accountabilities include:

  • Identification/Advancement of sales opportunities to work with Capital field Account Managers (AM), Western Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and National Sales Specialist (NSS).
  • Acquisition of improved market intelligence (market information) to support sales.
  • Strategic Analysis of current HCA and Service contracts identifying lost or potential new and renewal business.
  • Updating CRM with contacts ,opportunities and Buying Centers as needed during normal business.
  • Being responsible for and initiating and upselling contract renewals for HCA and service through regular analysis of trend data and renewal and expiry dates .
  • Driving compliance of JIT and Buying Group contracts. Responsible for analyzing and contacting individual hospital purchasing departments within a GPO contract to ensure compliance for the region.
  • Support sales proactively by assisting to maintain and track CRM opportunities.
Your QualificationsEducation:
  • AA/BS/BA degree in a related field, preferably Clinical Sciences/Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Related Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sales related function preferably in the hospital market.
Special Competencies/Certifications:
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) required.
  • Requires the ability to describe clinical benefits of products to customers.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and translate into a business solution - consultative sales.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Suite and Excel
  • Knowledge of CRM
  • Valid Driver’s license.
Working Conditions:
  • Required to travel to customers’ sites, within the assigned territory, most of them in Hospital environments.
  • Can reside anywhere within the territory.
  • Office work.
