Job Description

Your TeamReporting to Christine Palmer, the Accounting Manager will have a lead role in monitoring, interpreting and communicating operating & financial results of the Division, plus take a key role in critically evaluating on-going performance, efficiency, reporting, and internal controls for both operations and finance. These responsibilities are carried out both through completion of specific tasks as well as through directing and supervising staff responsible for completing specific tasks.Your Key DeliverablesManage the day to day functions of the homes accounting department.Oversee accounting processes to ensure transactions are recorded accurately, timely and in accordance with policies.Oversee the monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis for the homes division.Coordinate compliance related requests (internal and external audit)Identify accounting issues proactively and propose solutions to the Controller as required.Evaluate current accounting processes and provide recommendations for improvementsProvide strong leadership mentorship and guidance to staffAssist in ad hoc projects and analysisOther duties as assigned, including but not limited to contributing to process improvement initiatives and participating in software enhancementsMust HavesA recognized accounting designationMinimum of 6 years' experience with progressive experienceMinimum 3 years of supervisory experienceAbility to work within tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyAbility to lead and operate in a fast paced environmentNice to HavesExperience in real estate industry would be an assetYour OpportunityWe are proud to offer our employees what they value most:
