The next level is fast approaching — new Feed Science Platforms, built for the new landscape of livestock production and the new world of feed technology powered solutions.The company was established in 1984 and is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, with manufacturing and warehouse locations east and west, serving customers internationally.Job Summary:The Admin Assistant, under the direction of the HR, Admin, IT Manager, will primarily be providing administrative support to our staff and ensure all daily procedures run smoothly. They are responsible for maintaining effective workflows in an organization through efficient management across various departments within the organization. The Admin Assistant must possess the ability to adapt to new technology and ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times. They will have excellent organization skills along with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Job Duties:

  • Act as a first point of contact and provide general information to staff, clients, and the public relating to their questions, concerns, or suggestions
  • Supporting employees by facilitating interdepartmental communications and interactions between internal and external parties
  • Assist in the compilation of data for various reports
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions
  • Maintain and monitor office supply inventory levels; place orders as required; and arrange for servicing of office equipment
  • Organize, maintain, and coordinate office records and files
  • Ensuring that the office is well-maintained, organized, and secure
  • Administer and manage inbound and outbound mail, including packages, courier services, and other correspondence
  • Assisting with special projects, such as process improvements
  • Present a positive and professional image of the organization when interacting with employees, clients/customers, visitors, and other external stakeholders
  • Accurately and appropriately file correspondence, invoices, and other paperwork
  • Answering questions and finding information for employees, clients, and vendors
Qualifications::
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Adaptability to new technology
  • Deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Prioritize and manage conflicting demands
  • Respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Work individually as well as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word and Excel)
  • High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
  • Three years of experience in an administrative role
