Administrative Assistant –Permanent Part-timeThe successful candidate will work remotely but located in the Calgary or Airdrie area Are you a highly organized administrator looking for fulfilling work in the non-profit sector with supportive colleagues and flexible work cultureRealize Your Potential Youth Society is looking for a new team member to provide administrative support to the Team to help us advance our plans and mission.The Realize Your Potential Youth Society is a comprehensive mentoring and STEM education initiative for 8 – 24-year-old descendants of the African diaspora. We offer a variety of programs giving members the skills, knowledge, and motivation to feel empowered, connected, and ready to realize their full potential.Our missionTo provide a safe, supportive, and empowering space where descendants of the African diaspora can foster relationships, overcome obstacles, build confidence, and gain opportunities they can use to enrich their lives.If our values align with yours, and you want to learn, grow, and develop within a supportive team that shares knowledge and cares, then we want to hear from you!   • Perform administrative duties, including preparing and coding expenses, budgeting, calendar management, coordination of external meetings
  • Support events both online and in person for our program or funder partners.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings, take minutes, prepare and track action items and ensure follow-up promptly.
  • Schedule and draft agenda for meetings,
  • Organize and maintain electronic filing systems
  • Support data entry needs as needed.
  • Leads or participates in special projects as required and desired
Who You Are:
  • Ability to maintain ethics, integrity, and discretion
  • Highly organized with outstanding focus on details, time management skills and a demonstrated ability to promptly anticipate, plan and deliver exceptional support.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize incoming requests and juggle conflicting priorities, all while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency
  • Action-oriented and able to take on new challenges
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • A collaborative team member, a self-starter with an ability to work collaboratively within and across teams as well as work alone with limited supervision
Experience You Bring:
  • Experience in a non-profit setting with a demonstrated understanding of the non-profit or charitable sector
  • At least 1+ years in an administrative or coordination role working with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience preparing presentation materials, managing multiple schedules, and handling meeting
  • Excellent writing, communication skills and active listening skills
  • Excellent proficiency with various office administration and virtual meeting platforms (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Zoom,
