Your Opportunity:Our Health Workforce Strategies team is currently recruiting a regular full-time administrative/program support position to join the provincial health workforce strategies team. The administrative/program support provides executive-level/comprehensive support to the Executive Director, Health Workforce Strategies and other professionals within the team to ensure the successful execution of project deliverables and timelines. You will support project deliverables, track project timelines and recommends opportunities for improvement as it relates to the tracking and reporting for all phases of strategic projects for the portfolio. The position works closely with Vice President and Chief Zone Officer executive assistants in order to influence and ensure the successful completion of actions. You will communicate effectively while delivering various and, at times, complex information in a diplomatic and concise manner. The position acts as a conduit and liaison between executive offices and other Human Resources areas as well as external consultants and stakeholders and understands the healthcare and complexity of Alberta Health Services. You are an active and valued member of the Health Workforce Strategies team, and decisions and actions impact the high profile of this area. You will understand Alberta Health Services systems and processes and identifies solutions to process problems, and be the responsible position for taking and preparing complex meeting notes from the Workforce Committees as directed.Description:Work independently to support the achievement of the workforce strategies projects and project timelines. Responsible for: managing, researching, analyzing data/information, recording complex meeting notes and tracking actions, interpreting customer needs, identifying solutions, addressing problems, responding to inquiries on behalf of the Executive Director, acting on the Executive Director’s behalf, responding to workforce initiative questions and projects, deal with changing priorities/urgent issues. Provide executive-level and complex support to the Executive Director by assessing client needs, answering inquiries and forwarding them to the appropriate professional for resolution. Understand portfolio issues to assist in the development of administrative processes. Administer the Executive Director’s calendar, create an effective file management system, develop effective working relationships with other executives and collaborate across the Alberta Health Services to accomplish key accountabilities. Ensure sensitive and confidential issues are handled appropriately in consultation with the Executive Director.
