Alberta Health Services (AHS) is looking for a Talent Solutions Advisor for our new Talent Solutions team! This Advisor will develop and execute innovative talent acquisition solutions that support our primary objective of delivering high-quality, accessible, and sustainable patient care to Albertans. Since 2017, we have been recognized as a top employer for our efforts to create an innovative and diverse workplace that values the contributions of our employees.Description:As the Advisor, Talent Solutions, you will consult and work in partnership with the Talent Solutions and Talent Acquisition teams to continuously adapt and provide recruitment solutions focused on attracting talent throughout our organization. You will be a critical component of the candidate selection process by leading with a consultative approach with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective processes, communication and continuous improvements. You will be responsible to deliver expertise and comprehensive solutions to complex operational recruitment challenges, often focused on sourcing hard-to-fill positions or chronic shortages that directly result in bed closures and reduced or compromised health care services. You will utilize technology to monitor and report on urgent and large volume recruitment projects and leverage your systems knowledge and understanding of human resources (HR) workflows to support the Talent Solutions team. The successful candidate will be an expert in stakeholder engagement and communication to effectively consult and collaborate with Operations and HR teams across the organization. By applying your consultative skill set and ability to build relationships with Operations and internal and external stakeholders, you will gather project requirements, demonstrate effective planning, document business workflows, capture data, and provide reporting. Utilizing your past recruitment or HR experience, you provide expert advice, data, resources, tools and knowledge to identify current and future talent demand requirements. This position also collaborates with various stakeholders (CPSM, HRBP, other HR COEs, HRSS, Operations, Senior Leadership, and External Stakeholders) to develop and implement workforce plans.

Required Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or another relevant degree (a combination of education and experience may be considered). A minimum of two years experience in talent acquisition/recruitment and/ or human resources.Additional Required Qualifications:Two years’ experience coordinating full cycle recruitment is required. Proficiency in using recruitment management and human resources information systems (e.g. Taleo, Peoplesoft).Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a unionized environment and collective agreement requirements. Experience recruiting clinical healthcare positions. Intermediate proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel (experience with pivot tables & charts, sorting, filtering and formatting data).
