Job Description

The RoleDermphi CentreTM offers a comprehensive menu of treatments and products. Our team of laser technician/estheticians have a critical role in representing our vision of exceptional client care and cutting-edge services. To excel in this position, you should be self-motivated and customer service oriented, being highly responsive to our clients needs in order to provide them with a memorable esthetic experience. The Laser Technician/Esthetician has a critical role in educating clients on the treatments available within our practice and designing a plan to help them achieve their esthetic goals.Job Type: This is a full-time position. Expectations for the Role:
  • Experience with client skin assessments, education and proposed treatments.
  • Knowledge of medical grade skin care, treatment plan & client education.
  • Provides a full spectrum of esthetic services such as: laser and light based treatments, facials, skin-product consultations.
  • Provides full service to clients with the utmost professionalism and a keen attention to protocols, quality and health and comfort of clients.
  • Responsible for ensuring health and safety standards are met through personal conduct and maintenance of supplies. Conducts proper cleaning and sterilizing of tools and products.
  • Accurately document charts and updates patient profiles after treatments.
  • Provides general information to clients on services and skincare products.
  • Work with the practice assistant, director of operations, medical directors and other executive team members to implement strategies and grow the business.
Qualifications: Required Education:
  • Completion and certification of a recognized esthetics program.
Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience.
  • Represents Dermphi Centre at all times by maintaining a poised and professional image.
  • Proven ability to maintain positive relationships with clientele and proactively seeks opportunities to improve customer experiences.
  • Excellent observational skills and a high attention to detail. Always looking to provide elevated and sophisticated customer service.
  • Well developed interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating a friendly and courteous attitude towards colleague.
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve and work effectively under pressure within a fast-paced and continuously evolving work environment.
  • Proficiently manages time and remains well organized to maintain a smooth, punctual and optimal client appointment flow.
  • Communicates effectively to ensure quality service and exceptional client care.
  • Available to work flexible hours (eg. weekdays, evenings and weekends).
Asset Qualifications:
  • Working experience in a cosmetic clinic/medical spa setting/dermatology clinic.
  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Medical grade skin care knowledge (ZO, Alumier).
  • Sales experience and inventory knowledge.
  • Chemical Peel experience.
  • Experience with Coolsculpting, Fraxel, Clear & Brilliant (not required).
  • Customer Relationship Management Software (CRM) (Mindbody/Jane App) (not required).
  • Medical terminology.
Background Check: A clear Criminal Background check, inclusive of a vulnerable sector search, is required to start. If you have resided outside of Calgary in the past 12 months, you will need to contact the local police or RCMP detachment in your previous residential municipality to be able to obtain a full report.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $25.00-$30.00 per hourBenefits:
