Your Opportunity:Reporting directly to the Director, Harm Reduction Services, the Analyst is a professional position that works in consultation with the Business Intelligence Unit (BIU) Lead, Senior Analyst (Data Navigator), Project Manager, and Program Manager to support the data and analytic needs of Harm Reduction Services. A solid performance history of excelling within an independently functioning, fast-paced, and high-performance team environment is essential as is a creative approach to problem solving, encouraging innovation from team members in finding solutions to identified problems. This position is provincial and requires engagement within a virtual setting.Description:Using a range of knowledge and practical experience, this position is responsible for program area analytical surveillance products, data analysis, and providing interpretation of results. Communicating effectively and establishing positive, productive relationships with provincial operational, analytic, and administrative staff is essential. The incumbent works collaboratively with other AHS programs and services to ensure that data and surveillance tools are available and used appropriately, applying their knowledge of best practices and health care to support the team in improving processes and services. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the BIU Lead and Data Navigator to collect, maintain, compile, synthesize, interpret, analyze and report quantitative primary and secondary data. Contributes to the preparation of written and oral presentations, summaries, and reports. Responsible for the management and inventory of surveillance tools.
