By joining Blanco Cantina your future career opportunities are endless!Job TitleBar SupervisorWhat You’ll Do:You will report to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager (this may vary from time to time depending who is on shift). You will:

  • Ensure business logistics are being carried out as per the mandate of the management team. Setting an example of work ethic and leading the pace for other bartenders.
  • Have a firm understanding of tequila and agave spirits.
  • Lead on the floor always.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all AGLC regulations.
  • Adhere to all government regulations regarding Labour Standards and Human Rights, ensuring a professional and safe working environment.
  • Complete all tasks assigned by management.
  • Be responsible for achieving budgeted liquor COGs.
  • Be responsible for preventing theft.
  • Be responsible for promo and spillage.
  • Be responsible for period end inventory/and weekly inventory if required.
  • Be responsible for daily operations of the bar, including prep, liquor room organization and cleaning schedules.
  • Be responsible for achieving FOH labour targets.
  • Be responsible for ensuring bar cleanliness and passing both Health Inspection and Steritech audits with 80% score.
  • Ensure all staff are trained up to company standard and all new employees receive the set 5-day training program.
  • Be responsible for consistent and correct staff documentation and coaching.
  • Be responsible for 60-day reviews of new bartenders and annual reviews with the General Manager.
  • Ensure that all drinks are being prepared to the company’s spec and standard.
  • Interact with guests to take orders and serve food and beverages.
  • Actively promote upcoming events and building the brand.

Who You Are:
  • You have your First Aid, Food Safe, ProServe, and ProTect Security Certifications, as well as a recent police check.
  • You have a firm understanding of labour standards and human rights regulations.
  • You have 1-2 years of bartending/serving/supervising experience.
  • You are a genuine, personable, vibrant, and team-oriented individual.
  • You pride yourself on your customer service skills, your ability to make people feel at home, your reliability, and your ability to “keep upbeat” even during the busiest shifts.
  • You are solution focused and resourceful – you think on your feet effectively to find resolutions to situations.
  • You manage time effectively through planning and multitasking without skipping a beat.
  • You are a great communicator, both in person and on the phone/online.
  • You are easily coachable and see feedback as an opportunity to keep improving your skills and abilities.
  • You might have future aspirations to be employed as Store Management or in our Corporate team.
