Job Description

Division: Bow RiverBow River Paving, part of Trotter & Morton Group of Companies, has been providing asphalt paving services for private and commercial projects in Alberta since 1991. Our operations also include grading, gravelling, and snow removal services.Bow River is currently looking to hire an Asphalt Paving Labourer who will contribute to our team of dedicated personnel by bringing their experience and high-quality workmanship to every project.Roles and Responsibilities

  • Use a variety of construction and labour tools to assist where needed
  • Assist with concrete and asphalt cutting, form setting, shoveling, rough rake, and finish rake
  • Perform a variety of labour jobs on-site
  • Adhere to safety precautions at all times
  • Communicate with co-workers to perform work safely and effectively
Required Skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Pride in quality workmanship
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work as part of a team
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in finish grading is preferred
  • Experience working with hand tools, equipment and machinery
  • Previous construction experience would be a definite asset
  • Valid driver’s license would be an asset (abstract may be requested)
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work outside, on uneven ground, for long periods of time in different weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and crouch for long periods of time
  • The position often requires overtime and can be seasonal in nature
  • Travel may be required
