As we strive to be at the forefront of a complex and vastly changing retail industry, it is an exciting time to join the Canadian Tire family of companies.The Marketing and E-Commerce Team Lead will be responsible for developing content and coordinating marketing efforts to support the Mark’s Commercial marketing and digital strategy.This role will work with internal stakeholders to develop a variety of content for social media, email marketing, and customer communications. You will also liaise with our media agency to align the content with strategic goals to support new customer acquisition and to elevate the Mark’s Commercial brand within the marketplace.What youll do

  • Work with the Manager, B2B eCommerce to develop a quarterly content calendar
  • Research, copywrite and post social media content
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop a variety of customer-facing communications including sales presentations, email marketing campaigns, company/program updates, etc.
  • Liaise with Mark’s media agency to develop content and initiatives that align with the strategic vision for the organization and elevate the Mark’s Commercial brand
  • Work with the marketing and sales teams to develop innovative marketing tactics to encourage digital interactions with new and existing customers
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Marketing & eCommerce team members, providing support and coaching as needed
  • Assist with monthly performance management activities and annual reviews
  • Work directly with Mark’s Commercial clients to build a suitable / customized website
  • Communicate with clients and business partners on an ongoing basis
  • Accountable for conveying a consistent and attractive brand image for clients
  • Leverage customer insights, analytics, research, and reporting functions to support decision making, analyzing results, and providing new ideas
What you bring
  • 2-3 years of experience in ecommerce, marketing, or a related field (B2B experience considered an asset)
  • Experience writing for and posting to social media platforms (specifically LinkedIn), speaking specifically to mid / large-sized organizations
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, with an understanding of Adobe Creative Suite considered an asset
  • Ability to liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to gather information and set priorities according to the business’ needs
  • Exceptional copywriting skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Bilingual (French/English) considered an asset
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a comparable field
