And you’ll know that you’re making a difference every day—for companies, for Canada and for the people you work with.Year after year, EDC has been recognized as a Top 100 and Top Family-Friendly Employer. #LI-HybridTeam & Job OverviewEDC’s Supplier Management and Analytics Team enables our internal clients decision-making by providing advice and guidance related to contracting, sourcing and procurement processes, maintenance and support agreements, vendor performance and risk management, and standards and procedures that are aligned with the business strategy.The objective of this role is to leverage best practices relating to sourcing and vendor management strategies; optimize spend by examining contracts, spend and trend analysis; and ensure current vendors are meeting our needs. This requires working with technology teams, legal, procurement and business users in delivering and managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle.Key Responsibilities

  • Support the team by managing and executing vendor contract renewals, vendor performance and relationship to ensure value is in place for EDC, as well as alignment with project and operational demands.
  • Work closely with internal clients to understand and assess specific renewal/new purchase requirements and provide process improvement support as needed.
  • Manage and execute amendments to contract terms or contract extensions within delegated authorities.
  • Develops and implements strategies for cost reduction, vendor sourcing, supplier consolidation, quality improvements and process efficiencies.
  • Participates in the development of business cases to support informed decision making in the selection, procurement, renewal or removal of vendor services
  • Follows and executes on Procurement policies, standards and procedures that are aligned with the organizations strategy
  • Manage a high-volume team mailbox: triage and delegate requests efficiently while ensuring important email correspondence /data records are maintained and updated.
  • Be able to multi-task and focus on various renewals and projects while being mindful of deadlines to avoid service disruptions and ensure organization-wide productivity
Screening Criteria
  • Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or another related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Procurement or Vendor Management or related experience
  • Knowledge of Procurement, Vendor Management and/or Supply Management principles, practices and public competitive processes.
  • Knowledge of IT procurement, specifically relating to software solutions
  • Practical experience in a Microsoft working environment (e.g., Office, Outlook, Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships internally and externally for EDC
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to focus on necessary details to deliver on timely outcomes.
  • Ability to multi-task; work on multiple projects, with multiple stakeholders, and pace demand appropriately.
Assets
  • Bilingual in both official languages (French and English)
  • Knowledge/understanding of International Treaties and Agreements (i.e. CFTA/CETA)
Salary Range
  • $54,500 to $81,800
Location
  • Please be advised that this position is based at our Head Office in Ottawa with a hybrid work arrangement or could be performed remotely from any city located within a commutable distance from a regional EDC office, within Canada.
