We are an enthusiastic, goal-orientated and knowledgeable team – join us!Reporting to a Senior Manager in the audit branch, you will conduct desk and field audits and reviews of low and medium complexity involving corporate tax and royalty programs. You will be required to perform professional compliance auditing that includes: planning, sample selection, developing audit programs and gaining a comprehension of the auditee’s individual accounting processes, and completion of substantive audit testing. You will use your extensive knowledge and audit skills to ensure that returns are reported accurately under the Acts and Regulations administered by the TRA audit branch. You will also be challenged to demonstrate creativity and innovation in identifying audit efficiencies and adapting to changing environments in Albertas tax programs. As an Auditor, you will also be responsible for identifying potential regulatory or policy issues, as well as providing comprehensive analysis and detailed recommendations to senior management.You must be able to prioritize to ensure you are meeting tight timelines. You will also have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and are able to articulate and present complex issues to a variety of internal/external stakeholders. Strong analytical and interpretative skills as well as attention to detail and accuracy will assist you in this role.
