Job Description

About usVeranda is a collaborative taproom, spirit lounge and restaurant in historic Currie Barracks Calgary, AB. We are customer-centric, social, and fun. We are the brainchild of Vaycay Brew Co. & Burwood Distillery, combining two strong Alberta producers under one roof. Our focus on innovative, scratch food will round out our world class house made beverage program. We are the first of our kind in western Canada and aim to become a well know destination for both tourists and locals alike.Our work environment includes:

Responsibilities:
  • Set up drink stations in service areas; mix drinks according to recipes, following health department standards, and using knowledge of liquor purification and handling of food products; use good judgment in serving guests in accordance with state regulations.
  • Maintain a neat and clean bar area at all times.
  • Greet customers and provide assistance with menu selection; take food orders for delivery to the kitchen.
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor flavours, varieties, strengths and brands.
  • Knowledge of mixing ingredients for cocktails or specialty drinks; knowledge of garnishes and olives; knowledge of wine-tasting methods; knowledge of beer-tasting methods.
