Job Description

Trico LivingWell:Trico LivingWell is a new older adult living community opening in Summer 2022 in Kingsland, Calgary. It is Canadas first Older Adult aging-in-place community pursuing the vigorously vetted WELL v2TM Certification from International WELL Building Institute – a premier framework and performance-based system for buildings with features that advance human health and well-being worldwide. Trico LivingWell offers a campus of care and services to independent living, assisted living, and dementia care accommodations respectful to individual rights, choices, needs, abilities and enjoyment.Job Summary:The Bistro bartender will maintain the operation of the bistro area; this will include also include food services as well. Taking orders and serving food to the customers. This position is 90% hands on working and 10% paperwork.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides a pleasant drinking experience to customers.
  • Serves drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area.
  • Prepares and maintains ingredients by following recipes.
  • Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.
  • Coordinates daily supply inventory for bar and submits orders to supervisor; assists with receipt of deliveries.
  • Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules, including dishwashing as needed.
  • Participates in and/or contributes to programs, committees, or projects designed to improve quality of service and employee productivity.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two (2) years of bar or restaurant experience to include drink preparation
  • Front of house serving experience
  • Valid Pro Serve Certification
  • Familiar using a computer, navigating Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook Email and point-of-sale devices
  • Must possess a Food Handler’s Certificate
  • Current (within 6 months) Police Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Screening;
  • All applicants who receive an offer of employment must be eligible to work in Canada. Proof of eligibility must be current and valid (not expired, cancelled or voided)
