Job Description

We are seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team and help deliver outstanding service to our clients. Our firm is growing and we are looking for the right person to grow with us!OUR FIRM

  • Specializes in working with owners of private corporations to grow their business, build wealth and minimize taxes
  • Our clients operate in a wide range of industries including medical professionals, information technology, construction, landscaping, oil and gas, film and television, legal, photography, tradespersons, wholesale and retail
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • All aspects of full cycle accounting including setting up bookkeeping software, entering transactions, recording adjusting journal entries, bank and credit card reconciliations, maintaining A/R and A/P subledgers, GST/HST and PST returns and reconciliations, WCB returns and payroll calculations and remittances
  • Investment statement summaries and analysis including calculating adjusted cost base, capital gains and losses and reconciling to information returns (T3, T5, T5013, etc.)
  • Keeping other team members informed of problems encountered with assigned work, researching alternatives and recommending solutions to those problems
  • Assisting office manager with various administrative tasks as time allows
  • Other duties as requested
REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma or certificate in Accounting
  • ProAdvisor certificate for QuickBooks Online is an asset
  • Experience with Xero, Sage 50, Payworks, Dext (formerly ReceiptBank), Hubdoc and similar applications is an asset
