Job Description

Position Title: Coordinator, Building ServicesDESCRIPTION:This position is responsible and accountable for the successful coordination and implementation of projects of varying sizes including scheduling contractors, daily requests, ensuring they are delivered within agreed timescales, to the highest standard of quality, as per the business request. This includes planning, costing, quality assurance, stakeholder communications and status reporting are completed in order to deliver the project on time and on budget at Bankers Hall Complex. The position demands flexibility and a high degree of organizational skills and strong attention to detail to manage a variety of priorities and changing deadlines. Flexible hours are required in this role with occasional weekends or evenings.RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinate repairs and maintenance within the interior and exterior of the property. Follow up upon completion of repairs and maintenance to ensure work has been completed to Brookfield expectations.Coordinate departmental Work Authorization Permits for both annual and incidental contractor accesses.Assist with coordination and execution of annual window replacements, parkade repairs andvarious seasonal maintenance projects.Oversee tenant requests as they relate to the department ensuring that work orders are completed in a timely fashion to the satisfaction of the tenants. Coordinate minor repairs and tenant requests, such as; ceiling tile replacement, minor door repairs, minor patch and paint, washroom partition repairs, soap dispenser replacement.Assist with Marketing and Auditorium event set-ups and take downs and building communications signage deploys.Ordering and maintaining inventory of base building materials, ceiling tiles, ceiling grid, carpet tiles, and blinds.Coordinate and assist with seasonal landscaping and snow removal programs including bi-annual irrigation system maintenance.Coordinates building small equipment preventative and incidental maintenance.Coordinate planned and ad hoc maintenance projects, meeting with exterior contractors/vendors for project quoting and scheduling.Participate in building evacuation exercises, drills and emergency response by being a member of the emergency response team.Maintain storage room inventories and cleanliness of all Building Services storage rooms.Assists Building Services Technician with inspections in common area, vacant area, multi-tenant floors, interior, exterior, roof top, vision glass and carpet cleaning.Embody and support Brookfield Properties’ Safety, Health and Environment Policy.Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate hazards to reduce risk to the workplace.Engage in training and continuing education to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work safely.Take action to stop work if it cannot be executed safely or if conditions or behaviours are unsafe.Immediately report SH&E incidents, near-misses, unsafe conditions, and/or at-risk behaviours to their supervisor; then diligently work to correct the problem.Promote safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all Brookfield Properties Safe Work Procedures.Wear Personal Protective Equipment when required.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS SERVICE / PERSONAL SKILLS:Superior customer service and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Works independently and is self-motivated.Reliable and dependable.Efficient communicator with the ability to manage multiple projects.Flexible and adaptable to a wide variety of duties, settings, and work hours.Maintains an energetic, positive, and enthusiastic approach in a fast-paced environment.Strong interest in real estate and property management.EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS:Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel.Professional image with strong interpersonal skills.Known for the accuracy and quality of work, impeccable attention to detail.Ability to manage competing priorities with the expertise to prioritize tasks and respond pro-actively.Ability to deal with simultaneously occurring issues which might be competing for time while maintaining a calm environment for both internal and external clients.Demonstration of excellent communication skills is essential, as well as possession of analytical and organizational skills.Basic mechanics, construction or wood working experience would be considered an asset.Previous experience in a service environment would be considered an asset.EDUCATION / DESIGNATIONS / LICENSES:Minimum Grade 12 or equivalentCommunication or customer service courses are an assetBrookfield Properties (Canada) Inc. is an equal opportunity employer committed to the inclusion and accommodation of all individuals.taE6DJyv9i
